Imagination Soars: Taiwan’s Unique Siraya Go CreCar! Explore the Fairyland of Siraya: Exclusive Tour for Hong Kong and Macau Visitors

Tourism Bureau, MOTC, is set to host the annual Siraya Go CreCar. This is the only non-motorized creative vehicle competition in Taiwan, and it is a fun contest that emphasizes “creativity, entertainment, and craftsmanship.” It brings together friends from all over Taiwan who love creativity, are full of enthusiasm, and enjoy teamwork. This year, 41 teams of creative, passionate, and collaborative friends from across Taiwan will gather to enjoy this exciting event. The Go CreCar officially begins on November 24th. Besides the thrilling competition, there will be popular food trucks, a grassland market, large outdoor inflatables, and lucky draws. Everyone is invited to Tsou-Ma-Lai Farm to watch the exciting race.

To help visitors better understand Siraya’s unique features, a special two-day, one-night “Fairyland Siraya In-Depth Tour” has been created to complement the Go CreCar event. This tour combines local culture and agricultural experiences, specifically targeting visitors from Hong Kong and Macau to enjoy the most distinctive and affordable high-quality tour of the region.

The tour is now available for purchase on KKDAY and Taiwan’s Origintravel website. The exclusive two-day, one-night Siraya tour from November 24-25, 2024.  Registration also comes with a bonus of NT$2,000 in travel credits. It not only allows tourists to experience the exciting Go CreCar on the first day but also includes a visit to Taiwan’s largest reservoir – Zengwen Reservoir. During the trip, you can see black kites soaring through the canyon, try fishing, and watch a close-up feeding show of black kites! The boat will dock at Boar Island, a secret spot in the center of the reservoir. When the boars hear the opera tune “Nessun dorma,” they appear in groups to greet the visitors, which is quite surprising and interesting.

After the rich lake tour, you’ll head to Guanziling Hot Spring Area, one of Siraya Scenic Area’s most distinctive features. The local hot spring is one of Taiwan’s four major hot springs, along with Beitou, Yangmingshan, and Sichongxi. It’s also one of Taiwan’s rare mud hot springs, with grayish-black water containing mud. Soaking in it relaxes the whole body and leaves the skin smooth and radiant. You can enjoy the hot spring on the night of your stay. Don’t forget to taste the unforgettable roast chicken, slowly roasted in an iron bucket or urn over charcoal fire. When served, the crispy golden skin and juicy meat burst with flavor. Along with several other specialty dishes, this perfectly concludes the first day.

On the second day, you’ll visit Houbi in Tainan, the main filming location of the Taiwanese drama “The Making of an Ordinary Woman.” You’ll participate in agricultural experiences at the Duck Art Park. The local community is dedicated to food and agriculture education, showcasing the artistry of rice-duck coexistence. Activities include herding ducks, collecting duck eggs, catching loaches, traditional crop harvesting, enjoying a countryside-style grandmother’s flavor meal, and visiting a century-old rice mill to hear stories of rice and the land. The final part of the tour includes guava picking in an orchard, bringing together local specialties. Through this in-depth mini-trip, you’ll experience the most authentic taste of Taiwan.

Siraya possesses rich natural scenery, cultural history, unique products, and diverse tourism elements.
