Participation in the second season of GBA in 2025 exceeded 400 teams (up from 226 in the debut season). AC Milan Legend Andrea Pirlo was present at the event, handing out 11 awards to the leading teams. Boomerang Partners was honored with the Best Live Event Marketing Campaign title at the European iGaming Awards 2026 for organizing the GBA ‘25 ceremony. The concept for GBA ’26
The third season of the Golden Boomerang Awards expands upon the foundation laid over the previous two years. The 2026 season will operate under the theme “Beyond the Moment.” The premise is straightforward: while immediate results are important, only steady performance over time demonstrates genuine expertise. Qualifying for the final requires demonstrating consistency over five months and competing at an elite level. The most robust teams will be honored at the concluding ceremony in Lisbon, where performance translates into reputation and enduring industry standing.
Terms of participation
To take part, entrants must generate traffic that results in FTDs for brands within Boomerang Partners’ client portfolio throughout the Golden Boomerang Awards 2026 competition. Teams will earn points for every FTD, with point values differing based on the tournament phase. The third season of GBA will consist of three stages:
- First Half (April 3 – June 9)
- Second Half (June 10 – July 19)
- Overtime (July 20 – August 31)
Entrants are welcome to join during any stage and utilize specific mechanics to not only close the gap on leaders but also overtake them. Therefore, missing the tournament’s opening does not eliminate an affiliate team’s opportunity to claim a prize-winning position.
Awards and categories
Boomerang Partners has arranged an intermediate prize for every stage of the Golden Boomerang Awards 2026. The winner of the First Half stage will receive tickets to the Wimbledon Championships (June 29 – July 12, 2026). The victor of the Second Half stage will receive an invitation to the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monza (September 6, 2026). The ultimate prize will be a private dinner with an AC Milan Legend (late September / early October, 2026).
The finale, which will showcase the leading teams and host the official Golden Boomerang Awards 2026 ceremony covering 11 categories, is scheduled for late September in Lisbon. Additional information will be released shortly, and the event is anticipated to exceed the scale and quality of previous editions.
